Aquasyn Introduces High Purity Diaphragm Valves

The new Aquasyn valve features high quality stainless body construction with smooth operating high-temperature plastic handwheels, plus such innovations as "Tork-Tite Feet," which eliminate the possibility of over-tightening the diaphragm, and Ultraz, a new diaphragm material. Aquasyn says customers will benefit from much longer life cycles, lower maintenance costs, and excellent delivery capabilities.

According to Aquasyn, not only is the new valve economical, but it solves a problem faced by customers using products from other manufacturers. "Existing valve manufacturers locate the principal seal on the diaphragm itself, away from the process stream, creating a ledge that can harbor material," says company spokesman Michael Gagne. "Aquasyn puts the sealing ridge on the body at the intersection of the flow chamber, leaving fewer places for the product to remain during cleaning." With the addition of the Tork-Tite Feet, which eliminate the possibility of over-tightening the bolts and deforming the diaphragm, customers know the diaphragm is positioned ideally and not impeding the flow path.

Valve-to-valve combination

Valves are available in sizes from 0.25-inch to 3-inch and can be supplied in any number of configurations, with options involving body type, diaphragm type, end connection, and finish.
